Galentine's Day

Friends Need Valentines, Too! This card was inspired by Emma Goddard from Coastal Crafter.  She is one of the 2019 Artisan Designers for Stampin' Up! She used a LOT more layers in her ombre card (https://www.coastalcrafter.com/artisan-jan-fb-2/) in the very first Artisan blog hop of the year, but I just wanted to use Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, along with Whisper White to give this just little a bit of a lace feel for a Galentine's Day (get it? Gal + Valentine = Galentine) card for a girlfriend!
I used one of the stamps from the "Part of my Story" Stamp Set from Sale-a-Bration for the sentiment.  Doesn't "know that today a friend is thinking of you" seem like the perfect sentiment for a friend?

Happy Galentine's Day my friends! Elizabeth

Love Is In The Air

Love IS in the Air! Just look at this crazy leaping frog! I really wanted to make a Valentine's Day card with the cute So Hoppy Together (149725) Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set.  But everything had either been done already or didn't seem very original. I tried to look at all of the frogs "differently" and, of course, the first thing that came to mind was to take the unicycle froggy off of the unicycle...now he could be jumping, doing a handstand, dancing, or lots of other fun things!
Now I just needed to find an inspirational sentiment to send my creativity down the right path.  I got out the Sunshine Wishes Thinlit Dies for the scribbly heart (one of my favorite dies!) and the "love" die.
I grabbed the coordinating stamp set off of the shelf and saw that it had a phrase that said, "IN THE AIR."  There it was, Inspiration!  Most definitely a frog, make it a tree frog, in the air!  Because it's Valentine's Day and love is indeed in the air!

Valentine's Day Stamping

Flirty Flamingo and I are BFF's!
I just love making Valentines's Day cards! I get to be just as girly and use as much pink, ribbon, and glitz as I want to! It's a fabulous feeling to not have to hold back.
I have been dying to use this Buffalo Check Stamp with Flirty Flamingo ink on Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, and it is just as fabulous as I imagined it would be!

I used the Needle & Thread Stamp Set (148724) and stamped the large flower, the small flower and the trio of flowers in Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride, and Petal Pink (because I wasn't sure what colors of which flower I wanted to use where yet. I stamped the large leaf background stamp twice in Granny Apple Green.  I cut everything out using the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies (148541).  Additionally, I cut out the long tag shape out of Blushing Bride.

I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment in Flirty Flamingo on Whisper White Cardstock (Forever Lovely Stamp Set, 148624) and cut it out with m…

Bone-sigh #simplestamping

#simplestampingTwo Simple Ways to Say Thank YouBonsai is pronounced "Bone-sigh" it uses cultivation techniques like pruning, root reduction, potting, defoliation, and grafting to produce small trees that mimic the shape and style of mature, full-size trees. My dad loved bonsai trees, he tried pruning some himself but didn't do great at it, but he loved maintaining bonsai trees that someone else had created! He would snip and mist, pat the moss (and change it if he felt like he needed new moss), and do some landscaping with rocks.

The "All The Good Things" Stamp Set, 146558, $19.00, reminded me of my dad when I saw it (he also had a koi pond at one point!)

I wanted to make one more #simplestamping card for the Thank You card challenge that Sara issued at OnStage before changing to Valentine's Day cards.  So I decided to use this stamp set to make the card. Then when I got started, well, I couldn't stop!  I had to make two!

BINGO? Sweet!

BINGO was the Sweetest Thing! I had my Occasions Catalog Kick-off BINGO Party on December 29th, 2018 at our local Herbalife nutrition bar, Argenta Nutrition.  They're making themselves into a neighborhood hub by offering yoga, salsa dancing classes, meditation classes, and a space for neighborhood gatherings.  I have a monthly free card class there on the third Saturday of the month so when I asked if I could have my BINGO party there they said "Sure!"
As soon as I saw "How Sweet It Is" Suite, I knew that it was perfect for BINGO.  It's so bright and happy and full of candy! Candy and BINGO are a match made in heaven! I started making decorations, table gifts, treats, and treat holders and I couldn't stop!  Everything was so stinking cute! Let me show you the goodies I made.

After three games of BINGO we made three Make & Takes.  One of the cards I cased from the catalog but I substituted the Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper from the Saleabration Brochur…
